GET TO KNOW GRACIE

A Phoenix native and recent transplant to the Midwest, Gracie's love of design began at a very young age. As early as six years old, she remembers taking long drives with her mom out to new developments and walking through model homes just for fun and so her mom could get decorating ideas for their own home. On several occasions, she'd arrive home from school and her eyes would light up with delight because her mom had rearranged all of the living room furniture or she had sewn and hung up new curtains in the dining room. There was something about the new changes that just felt like pure...magic.

Gracie also felt magic with other creative outlets in her life. As a young girl, she spent much of her free time writing poetry and dreaming up new characters for her short stories, assigning them unique names and characteristics. She inherited her love of writing from her Dad and it was something they truly bonded over. Ultimately, her love of writing led Gracie to graduate with honors at Arizona State with a Bachelors degree in English, helping her to land her first job out of college as an academic counselor at the University of Phoenix.

After a successful 10 year career, Gracie, her husband, Tony, and their two pups, Rosie and Charlie (both rescues), uprooted from their home in Phoenix and moved to Utah for an amazing job opportunity for her husband. This life change really allowed for an honest reassessment of her career goals and inspired Gracie to follow her heart and change careers to interior design.

Shortly after the move, Gracie was offered a job as a photo stylist/interior designer at Walker Edison, a wholesale furniture company based out of Salt Lake City, UT. Before she knew it, she was heading up the design of a new photo studio and was also approached by the owner of Walker Edison to help with redesigning his grandmother's home. Gracie couldn't get enough! She felt like she had found her true calling in life and that old familiar feeling stirred up again inside. The feeling of...pure magic.

In 2019, Gracie and her family uprooted yet again and moved across country to be closer to Tony's family. Now living in a suburb outside of Columbus, Gracie is excited for the next chapter of her career in styling and design.

When she's not planning and designing her next home renovation project or styling a space in her house, you can find Gracie cozied up at home, spending time with her husband and pups. Gracie also has a passion for organizing, traveling, cooking and baking in their newly renovated kitchen, and has a strong interest in health and wellbeing.
